Our AI Coach Listens to Every Cold Call and Hands Me the Comeback in Real Time

Key takeaways

Cold calling is a confidence game, and confidence has a shelf life of about one bad call. You know the moment. The prospect says we already have a guy, your brain empties out, and the perfect answer shows up twenty minutes after you hang up.

I wanted the perfect answer during the call. So we built a coach that rides shotgun on every dial. This is another entry in our build log, the series where I show the systems we actually run at On Point Tech.

What it looks like on a real call

I dial from the Go High Level web dialer like normal, headset on. A slim panel floats on top of everything else on screen. It hears both sides of the conversation and transcribes them live, my line and the prospect's line tracked separately.

When the prospect raises an objection, the panel catches it and puts the counter on screen instantly. Not a generic tip. The specific response we wrote for that specific objection, because it came from our own playbook. A moment later, longer AI suggestions stream in with context from the actual conversation, in case the moment calls for something the playbook did not predict.

So instead of freezing, I glance at the panel and keep talking. It feels less like software and more like having your best closer sitting next to you sliding notes across the desk.

The CRM does not get skipped

The part nobody brags about is the part that pays. The coach is wired into Go High Level, the same CRM we run the whole business on. It can pull up who I am talking to, and it logs the call so the contact's record stays honest. No end-of-day pile of calls I swear I will log later.

Doing it right: consent and disclosure stay on

One more thing, because I work in California and so do most of my clients. This is a two-party consent state. Our call recording disclosure stays on, every call. An AI coach is not a license to secretly record people, and trust is the actual product in this business.

The playbook is the moat

The code has not changed much since we shipped it. The playbook changes every week. After real calls, we look at which objections came up, which counters landed, and we edit the file. That means the coach compounds. Every week of dialing makes the next week's calls better, and none of that knowledge lives only in my head anymore.

Why this matters for Bay Area and San Jose businesses

If you or your team makes outbound calls, whether you are a GHL consultant in the Bay Area like me or a roofer in San Jose chasing estimates, the pattern transfers. Your best answers to your most common objections already exist. They are just trapped in your head or your top rep's head. Put them in a playbook, let software surface them at the exact moment they are needed, and let the CRM record keep itself.

Practical steps

  1. Write down your ten most common objections and your best answer to each. That document is worth more than most sales courses.
  2. Record and review your calls, with disclosure on. The gap between what you think you said and what you said is where the money is.
  3. Make the CRM log itself. Any call that is not on the contact record did not happen.
  4. Tune weekly. The playbook is never finished.

We build sales systems like this on Go High Level at On Point Tech Solutions in Los Gatos, serving San Jose and the whole Bay Area. You own everything we build, done for you or taught with an SOP. If your outbound game needs a coach in the room, start at optechsol.llc.
